My foolproof technique for long, fluffy, separated lashes

I recently posted a video on my YouTube channel that shows how I create my signature long fluffy separated lashes. I’ve been wearing mascara for as long as I can remember but it was probably around the age of 14 that I actually started using it because I seem to remember my mum saying once that I had to be 14 before I could wear mascara! Lashes are my thing: mascara and eyelash curlers are definitely my desert island products and as long as I’ve done my lashes, the rest of my face just seems to fit.

Over the years I’ve perfected my use of mascara (and lash curlers! See my tutorial on my professional lash curl here) and it’s definitely one of those products that could be applied so wrong! There is a technique to it and, like with anything, you tweak and tweak and tweak your technique. It’s only been in recent years that I feel I’ve really mastered my signature mascara look.

This video is a really chatty and honest reflection of me getting ready in the mornings and it’s certainly not glamorous in anyway! But I hope you like it, find it helpful and can use my technique for yourself – let me know how you get on!
